  • Sign up here to schedule a virtual Start a Team Info Session
  • Review the Site Recruitment Packet, which has information about our program and what it takes to start a team at your desired location.
  • Starting a team refers to offering the program to a group of 8-20 girls at a location or site near you. This team will be part of Girls on the Run Northeast Ohio
  • The location must provide a safe, dedicated outdoor and indoor space, where the program can be facilitated to the team at the dates/times determined for the season.
  • Designate a SITE LIAISON to serve as the program location contact (see the responsibilities of a site liaison below).
  • Recruit at least three VOLUNTEER COACHES, who must submit coaching applications, complete background checks, and attend and complete GOTR coach training.
  • Identify TWO DAYS A WEEK (nonconsecutive) for practices (90 minutes each)
  • Establish a recruitment plan (min 8 girls, max 20)
  • Complete a Site Application

Site Liaison Responsibilities

  • Complete the Site Application
  • Serve as main contact at the site for participant families and GOTR staff
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers and program participants
  • Responsible for securing practice space/site permits
  • Support the coaching team
  • Site Liaisons may also serve as a Coach
